What’s not to love about the Sanira Toilet Brush System?
Norwex Sanira Toilet Brush System
It cleans, it’s green and the brush stays gorgeous looking.
I held off buying this brush for almost a year because of the price, because really, how different can a toilet brush be?
Boy, was I wrong!
I originally bought just one brush to share between my three bathrooms. The next month, I bought two more! I LOVE this toilet brush. Never thought I’d say that, but there it is.
Reasons why I love the Sanira system:
- It works. The brush cleans really nice and the solution smells great (a bit like coconut – mild smelling, not harsh chemical smelling).
- Safe. It’s not going to cause an emergency visit to the ER if my kids get into it.
- Convenience. The whole system can stay right there by the toilet so I actually clean my toilet more often. This is actually my nuber one reason why I love this brush so much. Because the solution and brush are kept all together and all I have to do it press and swish and my toilets are spotless. It’s revolutionary!
By pressing down on the brush handle, an automatic amount of cleaner dispenses onto the brush. Only 3-4 ml per use (compared to 30-40ml of traditional cleaners), the solution will last approximately one year, cleaning one toilet once per week.
The cleaning solution is vegetable based with coconut oil and a naturally occurring sugar surfactant. It is neither poisonous nor corrosive and breaks down within 48 hours compared to other solutions that need at least 30 days.
If that’s not enough, they’ve also designed the brush without any cavities to prevent any hiding places for bacteria. Which means no more funky-looking toilet brush! I’ve had my brushes for over 2 years now and use them almost daily and they still look fresh and white. Seriously!
Both brush and cleaning solution are produced from environmentally friendly raw materials.
This complete unit comes with the base, the solution and the brush. When empty, simply purchase the Sanira Refill.

Okay, so I’ve been using Norwex’s basic Enviro Cloth for cleaning about 90% of my house (that’s one cloth with just water for 90% of my cleaning!) and I often get asked: “So what about your toilet bowl?”
How do I clean my toilet bowl, while staying green?
I use the Sanira Toilet Brush System!
Sanira Toilet Brush System
The Sanira Solution is a biodegradable, vegetable-base disinfectant. Both the brush and cleaning solution are produced from environmentally friendly raw materials. The solution isn’t corrosive or poisonous. It breaks down within 48 hours (other toilet disinfectants take 30 days!). It lasts 1 toilet about 1 year, if you clean it once a week. (The first system comes with a year supply.) The brush has no cavities where bacteria can thrive so it cannot contaminant the surfaces you are cleaning. (A traditional toilet brush is the most efficient place for bacterial growth because it stays wet in a warm environment where germs from the toilet are introduced).
Now I admit, at $50 a pop, I was a little skeptical at first. But I was willing to give it a try. We have well water, which equals hard water, which equals yucky toilet bowls! After using the system for about a month, I was hooked. It works and was just so darn handy! The whole system (toilet brush and solution) sits right next to your toilet so I found I actually cleaned the toilet more often (which equals a cleaner toilet!). The solution is vegetable-based, so I don’t have to worry about the kids getting into it or the dog drinking from the toilet, where my old chemical cleaner I had to lock away in a cupboard that was oh-so-not convenient.
And the system is really neat to use. You just press down on the brush handle and the right amount of cleaning solution drips onto the brush and you’re good to go. Very easy and simple. And the best part… no yucky brush! The special design of the bristles wicks all the water off the brush, preventing bacteria growth on the brush. How cool is that? I’ve had my brush for over a year now and it’s still the same bright white as when I first bought it.
Because of our hard water, I do find that after about a month or two, the bottom of the toilet bowl still gets pretty yucky and built up with deposits. So once every other month, I use the Descaler, which works amazing! I just dump a bucket of water down the toilet to flush out all the water, then spray on the Descaler and walk away for 5-10 minutes. Then take the toilet brush and scrub off all the excess crud. It really works!
I love Norwex! I love green cleaning! Especially when it’s this easy :)
